Medical workers from Shanghai leave for Wuhan

Altogether 136 doctors and nurses from Ruijin Hospital Affiliated with the Shanghai Jiao Tong University's School of Medicine left Shanghai for Hubei province's Wuhan city, the epicenter in China, for medical support on Sunday.

The team compromises of 30 doctors, 100 nurses and six specialists of administrative management from the departments of critical medicine, respiration, infectious diseases and nursing. The youngest was born in 1997.

The hospital said that it received the call for a 130-member medical team from the National Health Commission at 8 pm the previous day, and the headcounts were snapped up before midnight.
