Liangjiang New Area in southwestern Chongqing recently released six rules to prevent and control the novel coronavirus, according to area officials.
Liangjiang requires that all the communities cooperate with social organizations and implement overall screening measures. Property service companies should check the body temperatures of all visitors, register visitor information and report to the community.
Major public areas should set body temperature check points to screen all people entering and leaving the area. Suspected cases should be reported according to regulations in due time.
Enclosed public transportation facilities should be cleaned, sterilized and ventilated. All staff members and passengers should wear face masks. People without masks will not be allowed to ride and those who refuse to cooperate will be handed to the public security organization.
Schools should contact teachers and students by phone or WeChat to access their health condition. Teachers and students will have their temperatures checked before entering school.
Schools should strictly control the entry and exit of outside people and vehicles, as well as sterilize the campus every day. Online education is encouraged to make sure the students do their course work at home.
Liangjiang will boost the supervision of public areas such as shopping malls, markets, hotels, hostels, restaurants, net cafes and KTVs. Guests from outside Chongqing will be required to enter a 14-day quarantine.
Companies and social organizations should undertake epidemic prevention and control measures after starting operations. In addition to checking employees' travel records, companies should check employees and visitors' body temperatures, sterilize office areas and prevent employees gathering at lunch time.
Government departments should also adopt online work, reduce the frequency of meetings and promote online government services for companies and individuals.
