Ningxia shows record of success at session

The Ningxia Hui autonomous region allocated three fourths of its annual financial funds in 2019 to the livelihood of the people, according to the government work report read by chairwoman Xian Hui during the ongoing third session of the 12th people's congress of the region, which opened on Jan 11.

Xian said the region has achieved a number of practical and good deeds concerning the immediate interests of the people.

Key steps have been taken in the fight against poverty. 109 villages and 103,000 people were lifted out of poverty, and the poverty rate dropped from 3 to 0.47 percent.

Poverty alleviation workshops and industrial parks ensure there is at least one stable job for poor households, with at least one income-generating industry and at least one stable job for poor households with labor force, so as to ensure no one is left behind on the road to all-around well-off living.
