During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Xiaoyaojin Park served as a private garden of the bureaucrats and landlords. The park is full of attractions and naturally divided into two parts by the river system. The east part is an area for teenagers and children’s amusement with diverse recreational facilities, so it is especially suitable for parents and kids to visit. Meanwhile, the west part mainly features planted landscapes, including Plum Flower Mountain, Peony Garden and Rhododendron Garden, as well as various flowers and pavilions.
