A notice issued by the State Forestry and Grassland Administration on the acceptance of pilot national wetland parks in 2019 showcased 158 parks that officially became national wetland parks, six of which are in the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region.

The six national wetland parks include Fulu River National Wetland Park in Baise; Haokun Lake Wetland Park in Lingyun county, Baise; Luxian Lake National Wetland Park in Pingguo, Baise; Heishui River National Wetland Park in Daxin county, Chongzuo; Zuojiang River National Wetland Park in Longzhou county, Chongzuo, and Lijiang River National Wetland Park in Lipu, Guilin.

Depending on the requirements of the notice, the national wetland parks are required to take various measures to strengthen management of wetland ecosystems, expand wetland areas, and improve the service functions of wetland ecosystems. Wetland protection publicity education and scientific research monitoring will also be carried out in the future.
