A children’s hospital is to be built in the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone, according to the official website of the WHDZ.
The Dunkou Children’s Hospital Project has completed preliminary designs and budget preparations and plans have been sent to the expert group for review.
Construction work on the project will begin after the green light is given by the National Development and Reform Commission and will be carried out in accordance with the standards of Grade 3, Class A hospitals.
The hospital will provide maternal and child health services centered on child medical care, maternal health, women's health and family planning technical services, supported by clinical diagnosis and treatment.
Officials said the design of the hospital buildings will highlight energy conservation and environmental protection and introduce natural light to the greatest extent.
The project will feature a 12-story inpatient building, a three-story medical technology building, a four-story outpatient building and a two-story basement.
Children’s playgrounds will also be set up in the hospital grounds, officials added.
