Chang Xiaolong makes dinner at Dunyitang Police Station in Jinzhai County, east China's Anhui Province, Dec. 18, 2019. In August 2015, Chang Xiaolong, born in 1992, came to work as the only railway policeman in Dunyitang Police Station after graduation from university. Located in the hinterland of Dabie Mountains, Dunyitang Police Station is responsible for the management of a 21.48 km-long railway line which runs through 8 villages, 9 tunnels and 11 bridges. Despite harsh working conditions and inconvenient transport, Chang Xiaolong has always been working in earnest. In addition to inspecting and safeguarding the railway line, Chang regularly carries out safety education with auxiliary police officers to surrounding schools and waste collection stations. During four years of working, Chang Xiaolong has kept close relationships with local people. He cared about poverty-stricken households, and helped the elderly to buy train tickets online. Villagers also support Chang's work by reporting railway safety problems or illegal activities to him. (Xinhua/Liu Junxi)
