Located in the basin of the Sanggan River, Huailai county, the Chateau SunGod Great wall enjoys an ideal environment for grape-planting with abundant sunshine, rainfall and mild temperatures.
First opened in 1979, the Chateau was initially a test plot for Great Wall Wine, focusing on the research of wine production. It kept introducing renowned grapes, including Cabernet, Sauvignon, Shiraz, Riesling and Chardonnay. At the moment, Chateau SunGod has become an international vineyard with the longest history, largest scale and most grape varieties in China.
Besides wine-tasting and grape-picking, people can visit the underground cellar to learn the process of wine brewing and storage. Also a drinking culture museum, the beautiful scenery of the vineyard and wine-themed feast are all waiting for you to discover.
