Biomedical industry

The Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone (Hannan) has several biomedical industrial leading companies, such as Wuhan Tongji Modern Pharmaceutical Technology, Wuhan HITECK and Topsun Group. The zone will cultivate, introduce and support a series of skeleton enterprises, famous enterprises and distinctive small and medium-sized biomedical enterprises. Industries such as biological pharmaceuticals, modern Chinese medicine, synthetic drugs and health services will be prioritized in the zone. The industrial output value is expected to reach 10 billion yuan ($1.52 billion) in 2020.
