Exhibition on stage art to be held in Beijing

BEIJING - An exhibition on stage art will be held in Beijing from July 23 to 26 in 2020, according to the China Institute of Stage Design (CISD) Wednesday.

The exhibition, the fourth of its kind, will explore the integration of art and science and technology from an international perspective, featuring over 300 exhibitors and tens of thousands of stage artworks.

It will be divided into 15 different sections of independent artists, colleges and universities, film and television arts, new media and others to summarize the development and achievements of the stage art industry over the past five years and provide insight into the future of stage art from multiple dimensions.

Lang Yue, an official of the CISD, said the exhibition will combine stage art with drama, science and technology, culture and tourism, entertainment and education to showcase the business trends of integration of different areas.

In addition, it will provide an information-sharing platform for the traditional drama industry, and show the application of science and technology in art, such as VR, 5G and 3D, Lang added.
