A promotional video jointly produced by the Yantai public department and Yantai bureau of industry and information technology was recently staged on China's Central Television 13 (CCTV13).
The 30-second video highlighted the city’s three time-honored brands – Longda, Changyu and Zhaojin.
Changyu, China's biggest wine producer, Longda Foodstuff Group Co, China's leading food processing enterprise, and Zhaojin Group, a Chinese gold mining company, have developed into some of Yantai's most famous companies.
The city has cultivated a number of brands in different fields.
In 2019, 17 companies were included in the Chinese brand value list, with a total brand value of 76.85 billion yuan ($10.97 billion), according to an announcement at a Chinese cities convention on Nov 30.
The city's fruit, wine and sea products are extremely popular across China. Yantai apples, with a brand value of 14.14 billion yuan, have led fruit brands in China for 11 consecutive years.
Changyu Group has been listed among China’s top 500 most valuable brands for 15 consecutive years with a brand value of 22.2 billion yuan.
Moving forward, the city government will continue to bolster its regional branding, promotion and market expansion to stimulate local industrial development.
