North Heavy Industry No 3 High School in Baotou has become one of the University of Science and Technology Beijing’s enrollment bases following an agreement signing ceremony held recently, according to a Dec 4 report in the Baotou Daily.
In the future, the university, also known as USTB, will organize for experts and professors to give a series of lectures on science popularization, mental health and life planning guidance to the school in North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region.
Located in the Qingshan district of Baotou, North Heavy Industry No 3 High School covers an area of six hectares with a construction area of 45,000 square meters.
Founded in 1971, the middle school and high school were separated in 1988 and the school was restructured into a complete senior high school.
The school has evolved to become a high school with an outstanding reputation in the autonomous region, after more than 40 years of growth and development.
It has won autonomous region-level honors including “Advanced Collective of Education of Inner Mongolia”, “High School for Advanced Education Management of Inner Mongolia”, "Outstanding School for Modern Education Technology", and "Technology Education Demonstration School of Inner Mongolia".
