Hengda International Finance Center and Hengda Square were approved for construction by authorities in Jinan, East China's Shandong province on Dec 9.
Covering a total area of 1,169 square kilometers, the project will include office buildings, commercial complex of buildings, high-end hotels and supporting facilities near Jinan West Railway Station.
In addition, Evergrande Group, the investor of the project, also plans to build a 560-meter-high skyscraper, which will become the highest building in Shandong province.
When completed, the area will serve as a headquarters economy base in Shandong and the commercial center of Jinan.
