​South Korea, Jinan further cooperate in regenerative medicine engineering

A delegation of Dankook University (DKU) from South Korea visited Biobase Group, a medical equipment producer in Jinan, East China's Shandong province, on Dec 5.

The two sides agreed to cooperate in the field of regenerative medicine engineering and plan to build a research and development institute in the field in Jinan.

Thanks to the third China-South Korea Pharmaceutical Life Forum and the Jinan (Seoul) Biomedical Cooperation, jointly hosted by the Jinan government and DKU on Nov 21, South Korea has deepened cooperative ties with biomedical companies in China.

Jinan's medical and healthcare industry is in booming development and the total value of the sector is expected to hit 200 billion yuan ($28.5 billion) by 2025, officials said.
