Shuguang Hospital (Eastern Division)

Shuguang Hospital, affiliated to Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, is a time-honored hospital, a national demonstration Chinese medicine hospital and one of the top 10 comprehensive hospitals in Shanghai.

The hospital consists of an eastern and western division, providing 1,320 beds in total. The eastern division, covering an area of 160 mu, is situated at No 528, Zhangheng Road, Zhangjiang High-tech Industrial Park, Pudong New Area. The eastern division is a garden-style hospital featuring modern an traditional characteristics. The western division is located at No 185, Pu’an Road, Huangpu district, close to the Huaihai Park, and has an area of 28 mu.

The hospital has more than 70 departments. It spares no efforts in promoting traditional Chinese medicine treatment, and its academic promotion. It has established 19 workshops for seven national well-known Chinese traditional medical experts in culture and heritage, as well as having 12 famous Chinese traditional medical experts in Shanghai.

The hospital employs over 1,900 staff members, has 18 teaching and training rooms, seven doctor training sites, 11 master training sites and three post-doctorate rooms. It trains more than 800 intern doctors in clinic study every year.
