Beijing World Art Museum is China's first state-owned non-profit cultural institution that collects, exhibits, and researches world art.
The museum is installed on the site of the China Millennium Monument in Beijing. Composed of a permanent world art exhibition gallery, a special exhibition gallery, and a digital art gallery, the museum boasts over 20,000 square meters of gallery space.
The permanent exhibition displays a quintessential history of world art, while the special exhibition gallery hosts temporary exhibitions. The digital art gallery documents and stores information about the artworks with the help of digital technologies, and provides services to the general public such as the "virtual museum", online communication, on-site display, and information inquiries.
It also houses facilities such as a theater and an art cinema. With all-year-round comprehensive art festivals including art expositions and public cultural events, it offers quality cultural products and services while at the same time promoting and showcasing art festivals from different countries.
