Qingshan’s companies report solid earnings growth

The operating income of 48 industrial companies above a designated size in Qingshan district -- in Baotou in North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region -- increased by 14.2 percent year-on-year in the first ten months of 2019, according to the statistics bureau of Qingshan district.

In statistics, companies above a designated size are businesses with annual revenue of 20 million yuan ($2.84 million) or more.

In terms of different industries, the top three industries with the biggest operating incomes in the district are metal products, electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing, as well as automobile manufacturing -- with year-on-year growth of 1.2 percent, 188.9 percent and 4.9 percent respectively.

Of these, the electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing industry outperformed the auto manufacturing industry in total operating income that increased by 2.4 percentage points in October, ranking it second.

In addition to the electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing industry, the non-metallic mineral products industry and metal products industry also ranked at the top of the cumulative increases in operating income, which increased by 307.1 percent and 1.2 percent year-on-year respectively.
