The Beiben V3ET2646AMT model truck created a lot of excitement when it made its debut at the second China International Import Expo held in Shanghai from Nov 5-10, according to the Baotou Daily.
The truck has adopted a new lightweight frame and lightweight suspension system and utilizes intelligent vehicle technology that activates electrical controls and performs faults diagnosis and smart auto networking.
The truck was produced by South Africa-based company ESI, one of Beiben’s overseas knock down, or KD, assembly bases – plants which perform final assemblies of kits of manufactured parts produced elsewhere. To date, Beiben has established five KD assembly bases abroad.
Located in Baotou, in North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region, Beiben Trucks has advanced vehicle assembly, cab, frame and axle production lines that utilize 2,218 equipment ranges, including 252 sets of imported manufacturing machines.
According to industry observers, the company’s specialist production lines and manufacturing equipment have made it synonymous with excellent product quality in the trucks sector.
The company was one of the first heavy truck manufacturers in China to qualify for the internationally recognized ISO9001 standard, as well as GJB9001B standard quality system certification, national automotive product CCC certification and ISO14001 environmental system certification.
Its products have been sold in more than 100 countries and regions in Africa, Latin America, Southeast Asia, Central Asia and the Middle East.
