The 2019 University Network Information Security Seminar took place in Xi'an, capital of Shaanxi province, from Nov 27 to 28, with more than 500 representatives from colleges and universities, as well as top domestic companies in the field of cyber security and information technology participating.
During the seminar, 19 expert representatives from government departments, universities, and leading enterprises focused on research topics in network security areas, such as smart city data security, network attack and defense drill tactics, information system vulnerability management, campus cloud security, as well as software security delivery.
Zheng Qinghua, vice president of Xi'an Jiaotong University, elaborated on the typical research progress of the university in network security risk prevention, such as botnet detection and monitoring, network speech behavior analysis, as well as the identification of tax evasion and tax hiding behavior.
Colleges and universities are supposed to implement an innovation-driven development strategy to promote the coordinated development of industry, universities, and research organizations to build a solid network security system, he added.
The awarding ceremony of the 2019 University Network Information Security Management, Operation, and Maintenance Challenge was also held at the seminar, awarding honorary certificates and trophies to 45 teams that have achieved excellent results.
After the seminar, participants also visited the Western China Science and Technology Innovation Harbor Wisdom Uni-Town, learning more about applications of information technology integration and innovation.
