A municipal-level platform dedicated to facilitating investment in energy-saving industries was launched in Shanghai on Wednesday as the city embarks on reusable energies to foster new areas of growth.
In an unveiling ceremony, major deals were signed by the government-backed Shanghai Energy Efficiency Center and several enterprises on expanding energy-saving technologies and services across the industrial, telecom and construction sectors.
A total of five district-level bases were also founded to better perform resource match-making.
To better finance such projects, Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization has joined hands with China Development Bank and other commercial banking institutions to roll out dedicated loans to bolster notably small and medium-sized enterprises that are engaged in energy-saving causes.
