Taiyuan Beilin (or Forest of Steles) Park is on the east bank of the Fenhe River, covering an area of 13,728 square meters. Its lawn area is 5,800 sq m and the water area is 1,100 sq m. The park has 2,134 plants and 400 diverse flowers.
It is a cultural park for collection, display, appreciation, social education and tourism.
It is special among China's tourist destinations as it has 418 ancient stone tablets which epitomize the vitality and depth of China's traditional culture.
