Deep in China's northeast with fertile black soils and the country's third largest river, Heilongjiang has a befittingly majestic name (literally black dragon river). Its heavy industries were glorious in the early days of PRC. The province is experiencing a new revival as the national base of green food, equipment manufacturing and energy, and raw materials.
