The administration of Nansha district, Guangzhou, has issued a plan for accelerating professional qualification recognition concerning Hong Kong and Macao talents.
This marks a step forward by Nansha, which has been designated as a demonstration zone for talent cooperation among Guangdong province, Hong Kong and Macao, in cross-border talent flow.
The plan pledges to optimize the climate for professional qualification assessment and occupational qualification recognition, by improving the supporting documents as well as the supervising and management mechanisms.
Assessment quality and credibility will also be raised, with legal rights and interests of talents to be safeguarded.
The plan also promises to further facilitate employment of Hong Kong and Macao professionals in Nansha, especially in the fields of technology, education, health care and financial service, with upgraded services in visa, household registration, vehicle licensing, dwelling, taxation and pension insurance, among others.
New modes of talent cooperation will be explored, by encouraging government agencies, public institutions and scientific research organizations to hire Hong Kong and Macao talents.
Academic exchanges and project study tours will be organized and technological services to be provided in such cooperation.
The plan is expected to be implemented next year, with related government agencies working on the respective details, according to the Nansha district government, which believes the plan will help deepen human resource integration in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and provide solid talent support to the bay area.
