Tempura expectations
Dondonya is working with Japanese chef Yano Hitoshi to launch a special tendon rice dish in Beijing. Hailing from Hokkaido, the Hitoshi family have been making tendon rice for 85 years and have even created their own special rice and sauce. The rice is covered with several kinds of tempura, including eel, shrimp, eggplant, mushroom and green pepper.
