The Nantong Xingdong International Airport in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, introduced new flight schedules for winter and spring on Oct 27.
During the winter and spring seasons, the airport will offer 42 air routes to 45 cities in China and abroad, with a daily average of more than 100 trips.
The airport has launched new flights to Yichang in Central China's Hubei province and Mandalay, Myanmar, increased flights to Osaka, Japan, and reintroduced flights to Shantou in South China’s Guangdong province, Hohhot in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, and Nagoya, Japan.
The new schedules include three flights per day linking Nantong and Beijing, running in the morning, afternoon, and evening.
The airport has also introduced two new low-budget carriers, Spring Airlines and 9Air, bringing the total number of passenger airlines operating at the airport to 18.
Low-budget airlines are providing more choices for local passengers and are expected to stimulate consumption in Nantong, officials said.
