Haikou stages intl conference on China’s inbound tourism

The World Tourism Exchange China (Haikou), an event focusing on China's inbound tourism, got underway in Haikou on Oct 23.

The WTE conference has invited international buyers and Chinese sellers to take part in activities, such as tourism forums, conferences, and trade shows.

Heads of tourism associations in the US and Canada, as well as representatives of world leading tourism agencies are set to attend. Officials from China's tourism administration departments will also take part in the conference to discuss the development of inbound tourism of the country.

Trade promotions and exchange seminars are due to be held during the conference with a concentration on the customization and marketing of inbound tourism products.

Hainan, a beautiful tropical island in South China, promoted itself at the conference's opening ceremony, through local songs, dances, and distinctive tourism products.
