XI'AN - The 26th China Yangling Agricultural Hi-tech Fair opened Tuesday in Northwest China's Shaanxi province, according to the organizer.
The fair, which was held in the Yangling agricultural hi-tech industrial demonstration zone in the province, attracted government officials, experts and entrepreneurs from more than 40 countries and regions including member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).
With the theme of "new agriculture, new countryside, new farmers", the five-day event has seven activities such as a round-table conference on the development of modern agriculture and an agricultural exhibition of SCO member states.
The fair will also exhibit more than 110 new crop varieties, 85 technologies of agricultural facilities and over 50 kinds of agricultural machinery and equipment.
Established in 1994, the fair is one of the largest and most influential events concerning agricultural science in China.
