Nanning holds 7th China-Central Asia Cooperation Forum

The 7th China-Central Asia Cooperation Forum was held in Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region on Oct 18, attended by more than 600 government leaders, officials of consulates and embassies in China, representatives of international organizations, as well as experts, scholars, and heads of enterprises.

Since the first forum was held in 2012, the China-Central Asia Cooperation Forum has become an effective platform for China and Central Asian countries to enhance understanding and expand cooperation. It has promoted the development of friendly relations and pragmatic cooperation between China and Central Asian countries in various fields.

This year's forum focused on cross-border logistics and e-commerce, smart city construction, satellite navigation system application and cooperation, as well as enhancing women's participation in the development of both areas.

The forum was sponsored by the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Good-Neighborly Friendship and Cooperation Committee (GNFCC SCO) and the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Sub-forums on cross-border logistics and e-commerce cooperation, smart city cooperation, BeiDou Navigation Satellite System cooperation, as well as enhancing female participation in the development of the Belt and Road were carried out during the forum.

In addition, a series of cooperation agreements were signed and the Nanning Declaration of the 7th China-Central Asia Cooperation Forum was issued, showing that this year's forum has contributed to the promotion of comprehensive regional and sustainable development.

Lu Xinshe, Party secretary of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, said that Guangxi is willing to work with all parties in the future to build the Land-Sea Trade Corridor and strengthen cooperation in science and technology innovation, port logistics, digital economy, e-commerce, artificial intelligence, and big data.
