Faku goes on marketing roadshow to promote ceramics industry

As part of a wider marketing drive Faku county in Shenyang, capital of Northeast China’s Liaoning province, promoted its ceramics industry in the province’s city of Dalian on Oct 14.

The promotional roadshow is being held in 14 cities in Liaoning. It was launched in August by the CPC Faku county committee, the Faku county people’s government and the administrative committee of the Shenyang Faku general aviation industrial base.

Faku, known as China's “ceramics valley”, boasts rich mineral resources. A total of 27 kinds of minerals have been found in the county, whose porcelain clay reserves are widely regarded to have the best quality in China.

The county established its own ceramics industrial park in 2001, which is now home to 305 businesses. The park is mainly engaged in the research, production and sales of architectural and artistic ceramics.

Products from Faku are being exported to 38 countries and regions – including the US, Russia, Japan, Australia, South Korea, and the Middle East -- and are widely used by builders internationally.

Officials said that the ceramics sector in Faku county is speeding up its transformation from a traditional industry to a modern one, through technological innovation, brand marketing and more.

The marketing drive aims to promote Faku’s ceramics industry and to increase its popularity, according to the organizers.
