China Southern Airlines Company Limited handled a total of 106,500 passengers in Shenyang, capital of Liaoning province, during the past National Day holiday on Oct 1-7, according to statistics released by the group’s northern branch.
The airline handled 837 flights during the holiday, a daily average up by 2.19 percent on the previous year, officials said.
Data showed that the airline handled nearly 17,000 passengers in Shenyang on Oct 6, representing the most during the seven-day holiday.
Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Beijing proved to be the most popular domestic destinations for Shenyang travelers while Bangkok, Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, and Seoul were the most popular foreign destinations.
The branch made lots of preparations for the holiday travel peak, such as increasing service staff and giving priority services for children and the elderly.
