2019 Belt and Road Forum for Cooperation and Development of Sichuan International Friendship Cities held in Sichuan

Sichuan provincial leaders met separately with some guests attending the 2019 Belt and Road Forum for Cooperation and Development of Sichuan International Friendship Cities in Sichuan on Oct 14.

Wangning, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee, vice governor of the People’s Government of Sichuan Province, met with Michèle GARRIGUES, vice-president of the Occitanie Region of France in Chengdu.

The two sides exchanged views on further enhancing the cooperation in the fields of economy and trade, agriculture, tourism, science & technology and culture between Sichuan province and Occitanie region, and continuously consolidating and deepening the friendship cities relationship.

Liu Jie, deputy director of the Standing Committee of Sichuan Provincial People's Congress, met with Roberto León, a former Chilean congressman, former chairman of the Chile-China Friendship Association and representative of Sichuan International Friendship Cities in Chengdu.

The two sides exchanged views on further enhancing exchanges and cooperation in the fields of economy and trade, culture, agriculture and between the governments of Sichuan province and Chile.

Yang Xingping, Vice Governor of the People's Government of Sichuan Province, met with Jackie Helfgott, vice-president of Grand-Est Region of France in Chengdu.

The two sides exchanged views on further promoting exchanges and cooperation in the fields of cultural tourism, commodity trade, agriculture, transportation and logistics, as well as high-level visits between Sichuan province and Grand-Est region of France.

Yang Hongbo, vice governor of the People's Government of Sichuan Province, met with Mark Ronald De Guzman Lambino, vice governor of Province of Pangasinan off the Philippines.

The two sides had in-depth discussions on cooperation in the fields of cultural exchanges, tourism, agriculture and infrastructure construction.

Li Yunze, vice governor of the People's Government of Sichuan Province, met separately with Schuyler Hoss, director of International Relations and Protocol of Offices of the Governor and Lt. Governor of Washington State, Mike Gipson, California State Assembly member, Chair of Assembly Democratic Caucus, and Robert Bary?a, Vice-Marshal of the Lodzkie Region of Poland, and had in-depth discussions on the cooperation in the fields of energy, education, culture, export and import of agricultural products, etc.
