LANZHOU - The customs of Lanzhou, capital of Northwest China's Gansu province, said it has seized over 3kg of ivory products and other endangered species from January to September.
The contraband goods, 56 items in total, included 21 ivory products weighing 786.77 grams, 10 antelope horns weighing 871 grams and 25 items made of giant clams weighing 1.36kg.
An ivory product weighing 30.3 grams was confiscated from an incoming flight from Cambodia to Lanzhou in a recent bust, the customs said.
The Chinese government suspended imports of ivory and all ivory products in 2015 and ended commercial processing and sales of ivory at the end of 2017.
