The Hefei municipal government held the 2019 Hefei Cyber Security Conference on Oct 11 in an effort to boost the development of the city's cyber-security industry.
Qi Haiyang, vice director of the cyberspace administration of Anhui province, announced the administration's support for the construction of the China Security Valley – an industrial cluster of cyber-security enterprises – during the conference.
As the home of the China Security Valley, the Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone aims to attract more than 300 cyber-security enterprises and build a cyber-security industry worth 50 billion yuan ($7.09 billion) by 2020.
Song Daojun, director of the zone's administrative committee, discussed the progress the zone has made in developing the cyber-security industry. The zone has seen a growing number of enterprises, talents, and technological achievements in the field.
He thanked the provincial government and major cyber-security entrepreneurs in the zone for their contributions and vowed to optimize the zone's business environment for the China Security Valley.
A number of cyber-security projects involving technological research and application, as well as guarantee platforms, were signed at the conference.
Nearly 1,800 attendees, including government officials and enterprise representatives, discussed a variety of topics, including industrial internet security, digital financial security, and digital campus security, at several forums held during the conference.
