TCM healthcare showroom lands in NYC's major thoroughfare

A Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) healthcare showroom has been opened on the Fifth Avenue, a major thoroughfare in the borough of Manhattan, New York City.

The YXT Healthy Living Experience Center, located at 275 Fifth Avenue, aims to let New Yorkers and tourists have a first-hand experience of the Chinese traditional way of health preservation, Jianping An, the center's general manager, told Xinhua on Saturday.

"Many people, particularly those of non-Chinese origin, think TCM health preservation is complex. As a matter of fact, it is simple, safe and effective and can be practiced by everyone," said An.

The center, which showcases TCM health supplements, acupuncture and Chinese herbal tea, is a project spearheaded by one of China's top medicine companies -- Yixintang Pharmaceutical Group Co. Ltd. in cooperation with dozens of Chinese and American partners including A&Z Pharmaceutical Inc. and New York College.
