NANCHANG - China will build a ceramic culture inheritance and innovation pilot zone in China's ceramic capital Jingdezhen in Eastern China's Jiangxi province, local authorities said on Oct 10.
According to the provincial government, a plan on building the pilot zone was approved by the State Council in late August.
According to the plan, the zone will become a national ceramic culture protection, inheritance and innovation base, a world-famous ceramic culture tourism destination and an international ceramic cultural exchange, cooperation and trading center by 2035.
The province will focus on ceramic culture protection, inheritance and innovation, the innovation and development of the ceramic culture industry, the construction of ceramic talent team, the development of ceramic culture tourism and ceramic culture exchange and cooperation.
Jingdezhen is the most famous porcelain-making center in China, with over 1,000 years of history of making porcelain for the imperial families and officials.
