Local fireworks show on National Day

A fireworks show will be staged on National Day (Oct. 1) at Orange Isle in Changsha to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. The 20-minute show will start from 20:30. Traffic control will be exercised on certain roads to ensure the smooth running of the fireworks display.

Tips:

Between 15:00 and 21:00 on October 1, pedestrians will not be allowed to cross the Juzizhou Bridge. The public may take the bus (40 in all, rented by the Changsha Tourism Bureau in advance) to pass through the bridge at the east and west sides of the Juzizhou Metro Station[橘子洲地铁站东西两侧], in front of JI Hotel (Hexi Branch)[ 西全季酒店门前], and near a ramp on the south side of Juzizhou Bridge[河东橘子洲大桥南侧匝道].

The Orange Isle Scenic Area is closed before 18:00 on every scheduled fireworks show day to ensure visitors’ safety. Visitors are required to leave the scenic area before that time.

Changsha Subway Line 2 does not stop at Juzizhou (Orange Isle) Station since 18:00 on the day for the fireworks show.
