More than 900 photos, 20 videos and nearly 400 articles will showcase the 70-year history of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) in a Beijing museum from Sept. 28.
The exhibition is one of the regular exhibitions at the museum attached to the CPPCC National Committee's general office and has been recently renewed to mark the 70th anniversary of the CPPCC and the founding of the People's Republic of China (PRC), said a press release from the CPPCC National Committee's general office Wednesday.
The museum is also hosting another exhibition from Sept. 17 to Oct. 17, displaying rare archives about the preparation and founding of the CPPCC.
At the exhibition, more than 300 archives, nearly 200 photos and four videos are displayed, some of which will be exhibited for the first time.
The CPPCC serves as a key mechanism for multi-party cooperation and political consultation under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, and is a major manifestation of socialist democracy.
