Shenyang gets set for industrial internet event in October

The 2019 Industrial Internet Summit will be held in Shenyang, capital of Northeast China’s Liaoning province on Oct 18-20, according to a news conference held by the Information Office of Liaoning Provincial People’s Government on Sept 17.

The summit, held under the auspices of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and hosted by Liaoning Provincial People’s Government, will include a main forum, 10 themed forums, exhibitions, signing ceremonies and visits to companies and institutions.

Experts, academics and company representatives will discuss advanced theories and technologies in the industrial internet sector and deliver keynote speeches on topics such as 5G and the industrial internet, high-end intelligent manufacturing and the digital economy.

Advanced preparations for the event are underway, organizers said. To date, representatives from nearly 200 leading international and national companies and around 150 dignitaries from around the world have signed up for the summit. It is estimated that more than 10,000 people will participate in the event in total.

The organizers said the summit will feature Liaoning province’s achievements in the industrial internet sector. Representatives from the Shenyang Institute of Automation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Ansteel Group will share their experiences in developing the industrial internet during the event and SIASUN Robot and Automation Company will showcase its achievements and exhibit products.

Officials said the event is expected to boost development of the industrial internet sector in Shenyang and in Liaoning province.

Venues for the opening ceremony, forums and event exhibition halls have been already covered with 5G services, according to the organizers.
