International Forum on Air-Ground Fusion Equipment and Materials held in Xi'an

The Third International Forum 2019 on Air-Ground Fusion Equipment and Materials was held on Tuesday in the Science Park of the National University of Northwest Polytechnic University in Xi’an, Shaanxi province in Northwest China. The forum is expected to inject new vitality into the development of Xi'an’s aviation industry.

According to Professor Weng Zhiqian, Chairman of the Shaanxi Aviation Society, the forum was co-sponsored by the three major aviation societies of Shaanxi, Shanghai and Guizhou in conjunction with the National University Science Park of Northwest Polytechnic University.

“This forum has set up a bridge for the development of aerospace, equipment and materials enterprises and related industries in Xi'an in order to promote dialogue on scientific and technological innovation and win-win cooperation in aviation enterprises, and to optimize the investment structure of new industries, promote the transformation of Xi'an's economic structure, and promote Xi'an's integration into Belt and Road Initiative construction,” Weng said.

Hui Xuan, deputy director of Beilin District, said that the establishment of the Shaanxi Aviation Society Flying Aviation Club in Beilin District has continuously stimulated the free exploration of the aviation industry and promoted the popularization and dissemination of aviation ideas.

"Today we are gathered at the International Forum on Air-Ground Fusion Equipment and Materials to integrate the most advanced and cutting-edge aviation concepts into the genes of the development of our city and enhance the core competitiveness of the region through aviation advantages," Hui said.

Niu Zhenxi, chairman of the National University Science Park of Northwest Polytechnic University, said that in recent years the aerospace industry has achieved rapid development and occupied an increasingly important position in the whole modern manufacturing industry. The forum will serve as an industry interaction platform with policy-oriented and cutting-edge technology as the core, which will promote the aerospace industry and further open space exploration. Integration and cross-border integration are of great significance.

“Northwest Polytechnic University will focus on the strategic needs of the national aerospace industry, continue to crack a number of bottlenecks in the field, break through a number of key technologies, and transform these scientific and technological achievements into practical productivity to serve the development of the aerospace industry through the Science and Technology Park of the National University of Western Technology,” Niu said.
