A nationwide roadshow aiming to attract buyers for the second China International Import Expo came to Beijing on Tuesday.
The roadshow introduced cutting-edge technologies, products and equipment that will be fully unveiled at the second CIIE.
The main target of the event was to discuss trade missions from Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei province, as well as to include central enterprises and healthcare buyers.
This year's CIIE increased new displaying areas to showing self-driving machines, high-end consumer goods, heavy industrial equipment and services for the elderly.
A group of healthcare and pharmaceutical companies including Bayer, Johnson & Johnson, Siemens healthcare and Philips will take their latest products to the second CIIE.
Moreover, luxury firms such as LVMH, Kering and Estee Lauder will also present their products for the first time at the expo.
The second CIIE is set for Nov 5 to 10, and 61 countries have officially confirmed participation, 15 of which are guest countries of honor.
The China pavilion will focus on theme of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.
More than 3,000 companies from more than 150 countries and regions will showcase their products at the 300,000 square meters exhibition area, surpassing the space of the first CIIE held in last year.
Beijing will also hold a signing ceremony for major trading contracts at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai on Nov 6.
