A culture and tourism expo opened at Shenyang Imperial Palace Museum in the capital of Northeast China’s Liaoning province on Sept 7.
The expo, hosted by the government of Shenhe district, was attended by more than 100 culture and tourism organizations in Northeast China, as well as representatives from more than 200 tourism service providers.
Representing the largest ever culture and tourism expo held in Liaoning, the expo ran for three days, promoting cultural and tourism resources in Liaoning and in Northeast China.
The expo provided an exchange platform for tourist attractions and tourism service providers, to seek better development in the sector.
According to the organizers, the expo will be held annually from now on and during this year’s event cultural performances were staged, preferential policies rolled out for tourists and cooperation agreement signing ceremonies took place.
Shenhe district boasts rich historical and cultural resources, and is currently developing a cultural industry, officials said. The Shenyang Imperial Palace Museum is located in the district, which is one of two remaining imperial museums in China besides the one in Beijing.
In addition, the popular Marshal Zhang’s Mansion is also located in Shenhe district, making it an ideal place for hosting the expo.
