Jiangxi to build national independent innovation demonstration area

The State Council approved Jiangxi province’s plan to build the hi-tech industrial development zones of Nanchang, Xinyu, Jingdezhen, Yingtan, Fuzhou, Jian and Ganzhou into a national independent innovation demonstration area, on Sept 5.
The State Council asked Jiangxi to tap into its advantages in geographic location, natural resources, talent and industrial technologies to create a suitable innovation mode, and develop the seven areas into an innovation highland with balanced development between the economy and ecology along the Yangtze River Economic Belt.
The seven areas will enjoy preferential policies for independent innovation demonstration areas, and are asked to further administrative reforms, improve government services and carry out institutional reforms in the technology field.
Related departments under the State Council will give support to the area in major projects, pilot policies and institution innovations.
