Chongqing Grand Theater
重庆大剧院（chóng qìng dà jù yuàn）

Chongqing Grand Theater, located in the city's Jiangbei district, is a large social cultural facility, the construction of which started in January 2007 and finished in September 2009. It is able to undertake various kinds of performances such as operas, dramas, concerts and other cultural art communication activities.

The theater covers a building area of 103,000 square meters and has nine floors, including two underground. The biggest hall can hold up to 1,826 audience members.

Chongqing Guotai Arts Center
重庆国泰艺术中心（chóng qìng guó tài yì shù zhōng xīn）

Chongqing Guotai Arts Center, located in the city's Yuzhong district, covers 2.91 hectares and a building area of over 30,000 sq m. The theater was put into operation in January 2003 and investment in the project reached 500 million yuan ($69.93 million).

Guotai Arts Center is the venue of its kind in Chongqing, integrating exhibitions, drama, entertainment and commerce.

The center has three halls: the Lyric Theater, Yunhu Concert Hall and Yunwei Theater. The Lyric Theater is the largest and can hold 802 audience members.

Shi Guangnan Grand Theater
施光南大剧院（shī guāng nán dà jù yuàn）

Shi Guangnan Grand Theater, as an important major cultural facility, is the largest theater in Chongqing's Nan'an district with the highest performance quality.

The theater covers 10,000 sq m with a building area of 20,000 sq m. It has seven floors and can hold up to 1,244 audience members at the same time.

The stage, vocal music and lighting systems meet international first-class standards and can hold various kinds of large-scale performances such as opera, ballet, concerts and dances.

The People's Great Hall of Chongqing
重庆市人民大礼堂（chóng qìng shì rén mín dà lǐ táng）

The People's Great Hall of Chongqing, built in April 1954, has become a prestigious landmark in the city. It covers 66,000 sq m and it hall can hold more than 3,400 audience members, making ot the largest of its kind in the city.

As an important venue for international cultural events, it has received many performance groups from countries such as Japan, North Korea, France, Russia and India.
