The role of China-LAC Economic & Trade Cooperation Park in advancing bilateral trade and exploring cutting-edge technology was strengthened as the openings of joint office space and a cooperative 5G innovation lab were announced on Aug 29.
The Sino-Latin American & Caribbean Space is invested by Sino-LAC Holding Group. The first phase consists of a 400-sq-m (478-sq-yd) office area supplemented by business registration, legal and accounting consultation, international cooperation training, and commercial resource matchmaking services.
The industrial park has also allied with China Mobile to open the joint innovation laboratory providing one-stop 5G application incubation services for startups in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
Launch ceremony of Sino-LAC Space
A 5G+AICDE plan will be implemented to deepen the integration of 5G with artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, cloud computing, big data, and edge computing. Blockchain, cross-border e-commerce, and other digital economy industries will also be developed.
The announcements were made at the Hilton Garden Inn Zhuhai Hengqin during a three-day tour of Chilean entrepreneurs. Chilean business representatives and 300 Chinese investors held project signings, one-to-one business talks, and product exhibitions.
Themed "A Trans-Pacific Path of Cooperation," the event was handled by the Hengqin New Area Bureau of Commerce, Macao Affairs Bureau of the Hengqin Administrative Committee, and Zhuhai Da Heng Qin Innovation & Development Co. The Hengqin New Area Administrative Committee, Macao Trade & Investment Promotion Institute, and China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Zhuhai Sub-council provided guidance.
