Nearly 200 culinary elites from 20 teams at home and abroad competed at a recent culinary event in Dalian of Liaoning province, demonstrating their understanding of Chinese food culture with their cooking skills while celebrating Chinese flavors.
They attended the 2019 Luhua Cup Chinese Cuisine World Championship, which kicked off Wednesday at the Dalian Jinshitan National Tourist Resort in Liaoning province.
"The championship is the only international Chinese cuisine cooking technique competition accredited by the World Association of Chefs’ Societies," said Jiang Junxian, president of China Cuisine Association, the organizer.
"It aims to display Chinese-style food with international specifications and standards as well as build it into an international brand," he said.
