The number of Heilongjiang brands to have products named “National Agriculture Product Geographical Indication Products” and have a brand value assessment of over 100 million yuan ($14.17 million) rose to 10 in 2019, according to a report recently released by the China Council for Brand Development.
The total combined value of the 10 Heilongjiang brands reached 138.4 billion yuan, and five of the brands had a brand value of over 10 billion yuan. The brand value of “Wuchang Rice” was 67.79 billion yuan, ranking sixth on the list of national geographical indication products.
Five of the 10 Heilongjiang brands, including Wuchang Rice, Fazheng Rice, Tonghe Rice, Yanshou Rice, and Yuquan Wine, were based in Harbin, the capital of the province.
