The Ninth People's Hospital of Chongqing

The Ninth People's Hospital of Chongqing, set up in 1927, was approved to become a 3A-grade hospital in 2003. The hospital has developed into the biggest medical center in the north Chongqing area and is affiliated to Chongqing Medical University and Southwest University.

The hospital has a main campus and three branches, covering a total area of 62,600 square meters and a building area of more than 110,000 sq m. The worth of its total fixed assets has reached 609 million yuan ($86 million).

The hospital has 1,050 beds. The annual patient number of outpatient departments has surpassed 700,000 and over 10,000 surgical operations are conducted at the hospital every year.

The hospital has more than 1,700 staff members with 203 holding senior titles. A total of 17 of the hospital’s departments are national or provincial key specialties.
