Xinqiao Hospital of Army Medical University

Xinqiao Hospital of the Army Medical University (AMU), also known as the Second Affiliated Hospital of AMU, was set up in 1944 and has developed into a modern comprehensive 3A-grade hospital offering medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, disease pevention and healthcare.

The hospital has 2,860 patient beds, 289 intensive care beds at world-leading level and 43 modern laminar flow purification operating rooms.

The hospital owns over 2,000 sets of advanced medical equipment with their total worth reaching 1 billion yuan ($141.74 million). They include a Leksell C-type smart gamma knife, 640-slice dynamic volume CT, 3.0 tesla dual gradient MRI, four-dimensional color Doppler ultrasound and Innova 3100 plate digital subtraction angiography system.

It has set up 45 clinical departments and medical laboratories, while 10 departments are national key specialties such as respiratory medicine, cardiovascular medicine, and surgery in cardiovascular, urinary, general, hepatological and thoracic fields.

The hospital has more than 3,700 staff members, with 369 associate professors or professors, 138 master's or doctor supervisors and 595 with master’s or doctoral degrees.

In addition, the hospital has carried out communication and cooperation with medical institutions in over 10 countries and regions such as the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Japan, Italy and Canada.
