Chongqing Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital

Chongqing Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Hospital, also known as the No 4 Clinical Medicine School of Chengdu University of TCM, is a large pioneering 3A-grade TCM hospital in West China.

The hospital has two campuses: Nanqiaosi campus in Jiangbei district and Daomenkou campus in Yuzhong district. The hospital covers 11.5 hectares and has a building area of about 200,000 square meters.

It has opened 3,000 patient beds, 32 clinical departments and 10 medical laboratories. The annual patient number of outpatient departments has reached 2.05 million and 68,000 patients were discharged in 2018.

The hospital employs more than 3,700 staff members, with over 440 holding senior titles, seven enjoying special allowances from the State Council and more than 820 holding master’s or doctoral degrees.

The departments of dermatology, acupuncture, oncology, nephrology and nursing are national key clinical specialties and 10 departments, such as TCM nursing and TCM gynecology, are municipal key TCM specialties.

In addition, the hospital owns over 200 sets of large medical facilities with a total worth of more than 500 million yuan ($70.71 million), including a medical linear accelerator, large numerical control radiotherapy system, 1.5T MRI, X-ray angiography system, direct digital radiographic imaging system and automatic biochemical immune assembly line.
