Liaoning, Jiangsu move to boost their cooperation

A meeting to boost cooperation between Northeast China’s Liaoning province and East China’s Jiangsu province was held in Shenyang, Liaoning’s provincial capital, on Aug 12.

A total of 16 agreements valued at 3.56 billion yuan ($505.5 million) were signed at the meeting. These covered areas including intensive processing of agricultural products, chemical engineering, new energy, new materials, e-commerce and the construction of industrial parks.

Cooperating with Jiangsu province is part of Liaoning’s moves to realize its revitalization.

Over the two years and more, the two regions have improved their cooperation mechanisms and implemented many plans in industrial development, innovation and entrepreneurship and exchanges between professionals.

Officials said the meeting encouraged deepening cooperation between the two provinces -- such as in professional training, improving their business environments and the construction of key projects.
